Junebug is an adorable female chihuahua mix puppy who will grow to be about 15 pounds. She, her mother, and her four litter mates were rescued from under a wood pile in Asherton, Texas (two hours south of San Antonio). A good Samaritan contacted us to save these dogs. We called our fellow volunteer rescue and trapping expert, Traci Bell, and with NO notice she jumped right into her car and drove down there. She located Beatle’s mama and her five puppies and saved them from underneath a wood pile at an abandoned house, along with two other male dogs. ⠀

Junebug is a sweetheart. She will be spayed very soon and she is heart worm negative, up to date on vaccines and flea prevention, microchipped, and ready to meet you! ⠀

How to get the ball rolling on adoptions:

Because we are a foster-based rescue and do not house our animals in a central location, you will need to complete and submit an adoption application for approval before we arrange a meet-and-greet for you and our pets.  Please bring a collar, leash, and owner tag when meeting your prospective adoptee.  Welcoming a new pet into your family is exciting, but it can also be stressful for you  and your new buddy!  Having food, bedding, toys, sleeping crate, etc, set up in advance will greatly ease the transition for everyone.  Feel free to contact us with any questions.  Our adoption fees for dogs are generally $250 (plus tax) unless the dog has undergone a special surgery or treatment.
