ABOUT ME
*** PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for someone to adopt Blue who has previously owned a bulldog due to the increased care that this breed requires. We are looking for a very specific, special adopter for Blue the bulldog. After a life of heartbreaking neglect, this lovely older boy is ready for a soft place to land in a loving retirement home of sorts. Blue’s adopter will need to have owned bulldogs before and be accepting that Blue will need to be on arthritis medications for life (this can run up to $200 per month). He also needs a home without young children and, when it comes to cats, Blue likes to chase them, sniff them, and get up in their faces – so he’ll need to be watched carefully around cats who don’t enjoy that kind of silly dog behavior.
Blue is a handsome seven-year-old, 45-pound English Bulldog. When we rescued Blue he had been severely neglected. He was only being fed once every three days, he had an eye issue, and he hadn’t had his nails trimmed in ages. But, we showered him with tender loving care, excellent vet services, lots of bubble baths, and plenty of healthy food. Now, Blue has gained some weight, he’s a happy, sweet pup, and he’s getting his health back. He’ll soon be ready for his forever human to love him like crazy.

How to get the ball rolling on adoptions:
Because we are a foster-based rescue and do not house our animals in a central location, you will need to complete and submit an adoption application for approval before we arrange a meet-and-greet for you and our pets. Please bring a collar, leash, and owner tag when meeting your prospective adoptee. Welcoming a new pet into your family is exciting, but it can also be stressful for you and your new buddy! Having food, bedding, toys, sleeping crate, etc, set up in advance will greatly ease the transition for everyone. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Our adoption fees for dogs are generally $250 (plus tax) unless the dog has undergone a special surgery or treatment.
