ABOUT ME

Bene is a male retriever mix who just turned three years old! This 56-pound pup loves other dogs, cats, and kids, as well as long walks, and staring into your eyes lovingly. Bene, Italian for "good", is one of the most affectionate and intelligent dogs you'll encounter, lovingly greeting you with his wriggling body as you return home.

Very playful and active, Bene loves his time outdoors, racing like a thoroughbred to fetch and retrieve. No branch is too big for him! He loves his toys and balls and will continually bring those to you to play fetch and tug-o-war. He is very alert and observant with an acute sense to scent and sound making him a perfect dog for retrieving on a ranch.

Trained since he was a young pup, Bene is obedient, responsive to commands and fully housebroken.

When he winds down, he loves to nuzzle his head in your lap for rubs and scratches and makes a great sleeping buddy, always ready to snuggle and settle in.

He has been continuously accompanied by other pets, making him a natural, friendly companion to cats and other dogs.

Loyal, loving and sociable, Bene loves meeting new people, especially children, and excitedly awaits settling into his forever home and exploring new adventures with his new family. He's such a good boy..... A "Bene Boy"

Our adoption fee for dogs is $250 per puppy or dog. Please send us your application so we can set up a meet and greet at our office or at a location of the foster's choosing.

How to get the ball rolling on adoptions:

Because we are a foster-based rescue and do not house our animals in a central location, you will need to complete and submit an adoption application for approval before we arrange a meet-and-greet for you and our pets.  Please bring a collar, leash, and owner tag when meeting your prospective adoptee.  Welcoming a new pet into your family is exciting, but it can also be stressful for you  and your new buddy!  Having food, bedding, toys, sleeping crate, etc, set up in advance will greatly ease the transition for everyone.  Feel free to contact us with any questions.  Our adoption fees for dogs are generally $250 (plus tax) unless the dog has undergone a special surgery or treatment.
